It’s unique in Val d’Isère and after all no-one likes walking around in ski boots, carrying skis, if they don’t have to.

This service is especially popular for families with children and clients staying in accommodation that’s a bit away from the slopes or the bus stop, but it’s great for everyone and we get rave reviews about it every week.

The location couldn’t be better – 20 metres from the pistes and just across the road from the main bus stops from every area of town.

You get a dedicated box for you boots / shoes and a ticket for your skis. It takes litterly seconds to put your gear into or take it out of our storage system.

Snowberry overnight storage – the easy option!

In some shops, equipment returns can be even more of a nightmare than the original hire process, as everyone brings their kit back at the same time and queues stretch out of the door!

Once again, at Snowberry our focus is on how we can help you have fun and relax so we do everything we can to take the hassle out of equipment returns too.

When you’ve finished at the end of your week, just give us a quick call and we’ll send a driver round to collect everything. Or if you’re passing the shop and want to get rid of your skis but don’t have shoes to change into, that’s fine too and we’ll come and get the boots from your accommodation later.

You can even return the kit for some people in your group and we’ll pick the rest up – whatever suits you so you can get on with making the most of the last few hours.

If you’re arriving in the morning or early afternoon, you probably want to hit the slopes as fast as you can.

With other shops, once you’ve hired your kit you’ve then got to either take your equipment back to your accommodation and change out of your shoes and into your boots (a waste of valuable skiing time), or carry your shoes on the slopes in a backpack (not ideal, especially if you have children).

Hire your equipment from Snowberry and you can get out on the snow as soon as you have all your kit.

Leave your shoes with us, and come back later in the day to collect them – or we’ll even deliver them back to your chalet before the end of the day.

SOME MORE ICING ON THE CAKE

Foot stabilisation is one of the most important aspects of getting your rental boots right, and getting your boots right is crucial to your skiing enjoyment.

An unstabilised foot will move around inside the boot, leading to rubbing, pressure points, blisters and all sorts of pain. You will want to clamp your boots up over the instep area to gain some kind of control but this will cut off the blood supply to your toes and give you cold feet, and can cause excruitiating pain. We could go on for ever . . . .

A skier orthortic such as the 'Superfeet' we use in all our boots supports and stabilises the foot inside the boot, solving the vast majority of problems you may have been experiencing inside your ski boots for years. Since we introduced them, we’ve seen a drastic reduction in people coming in to change boots midweek and a drastic increase in people asking to buy our rental boots!

Ski boots are NOT bowling shoes, yet even some of the “best” shops in Val d’Isère just measure one foot and hand you a pair of boots. Some don’t even bother measuring, just ask your shoe size! There’s a massive amount more to getting the right boots.

We stock over 60 different models of boots all chosen to have a wide range of last, flex and volume.

We carry plenty of small and big sizes (we don’t put ladies with small feet into kids’ boots)

We fit all our boots with proper skier orthotics for support and stabilisation inside the boot.

We analyse your feet and lower leg, select the best match from our boot range and then personally fit and adjust them as well

We’ll even customise and expand our rental boots to fit the “funniest feet”.

We’re justly proud of our bootfitting and it’s no wonder people tell us all the time they’ve skied in agony for years – until now!

Don’t be fooled by other shops which offer you a free helmet only to tell you when you arrive that they’ve run out of helmets, or which seem really cheap but don’t tell you you’ll have to pay full price to add on a helmet when you get there.

At Snowberry, we take children’s safety on the mountain very seriously, so a certified safety helmet is included free of charge with every hire of Premium or Economy children’s skis or boards AND we guarantee to have one available as well.

Of course we fit and adjust all helmets properly, and show parents how to make sure their children get it right every morning too.

And because head injuries don’t stop at the age of 12 more and more adults are wearing helmets on the slopes now too. At Snowberry we’ve been at the forefront of this trend and have a wide range of adults’ rental helmets and plenty of bigger sizes too.

Book your equipment directly with us and we’ll give you FREE insurance against damage of your hired equipment, with NO excess to pay.

The only exclusion from this insurance is deliberate damage caused by skiing on the roads, but we’re sure you wouldn’t be one of the people stupid enough to ski on the road anyway – not only does it ruin our skis but it’s illegal, and highly dangerous!

Well we’re not quite open ALL hours but we are open a lot longer than most of the other shops in town.

We don’t just open all day at the weekend but every day of the week, so no matter when you have a problem and no matter what you’re problem is, you won’t be the one wasting half your afternoon sitting outside waiting for the shop to open up again.

We also stay open for an extra half hour on a Friday evening for anyone who’s making the most of their last couple of hours’ holiday before bringing their equipment back and of course we have extended weekend opening hours – generally up to 8pm but we did lock up at 2am one night last season!
